Each fall, Rocky Mountaineer guests are treated to the added spectacle of Western Canada's colorful foliage.
It has been over a century since Canada's first transcontinental rail line crossed the Canadian Rockies. Today the Rocky Mountaineer retraces the western portion of this heritage train route to host one of the world's classic rail journeys. Various tours feature Snocoach rides across the Columbia Glacier Icefields, accommodations at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and outdoor recreation and adventures at Whistler, British Columbia.
 
All Rocky Mountaineer tours offer a choice of comfort levels. First class Goldleaf service affords panoramic dome coach seating and formal dining room offering regional favorites like British Columbian salmon and prime Albertan Angus beef. Standard Redleaf service features picture windows and spacious seating. Onboard interpreters are available to share insights and appreciations of the Rocky Mountains' natural wonders and cultural attractions.
